Ford owns one of the most advanced and efficient manufacturing plants in the world. It's in Brazil and it is still operating at full capacity. Because of its flexibility it is able to operate at a much lower cost than those on US soil. Why? Because employees are allowed to cross-train to be able to do many things. Also they are integrating parts suppliers into the factory for "just in time" manufacturing which saves oodles of money.
Remember that whole controversy with the White House using non-government email for government related communications? Yeah? Well, Michael Connell, the head IT guy for the non-governmental email system (mostly related to Ohio elections), was about to testify in the case and tell the court everything he knew. Unfortunately, he made the mistake of going outside and doing stuff like going for a ride in his airplane. He died instantly when his plane fell out of the air, apparently out of gas.

An "anonymous" teacher named Karen from an unnamed middle school in the Austin School district just doesn't seem to get it. She wrote an angry email to an organization that GIVES free laptops loaded with Linux to bright school children. She accused the organization of doing the students a disservice by steering them away from Microsoft and promised to investigate whether they were up to something that was illegal.

This email is so unbelievably ignorant to come from a teacher that I almost question its authenticity. I am guessing that she never googled "free software." Perhaps she's never heard of google and only does her searches from msn.com...

The two pillars of the housing industry that had the largest role in killing our economy were Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. By purchasing and backing all those crazy loans, they imbued them with the appearance of government stability and oversight. When the market crashed, they claimed ignorance.
Their warnings were summarily ignored and those that kept raising the alarms, like Freddie Mac Chief Enterprise Risk Officer David Andrukonis, were asked to resign or fired. How come the people responsible for ruining our economy are not in jail?
If you ever travel to Australia, you better delete those pics of Meg having sex with Chris and Brian. Why? Bowdlerizing is a means of censoring a book named after the infamous Thomas Bowdler, who tore sections out of Shakespeares plays back in the 19th Century. Although I am all for shortening some of those horribly boring works, he did it because he felt it was too racy or evil. Well his philosophy of line-item book burning is being followed by Cindy Babcock Deutsch, President of the Thought Police Board of Education of the New Rochelle School District. What did she censor? A section of the book "Girl, Interrupted" in which a girl discusses oral sex. This being studied by a senior year english class (who have NEVER even CONCEIVED of what oral sex is).
You stay progressive, Cindy. I am sure you'll embrace forever having your name equated with book burner on the internet sooner or later.
Let me repeat myself for the zillionth time. The vast majority of cops are good cops and their sacrifices are tarnished by a small minority of bad cops. That said, there should be no mercy with respect to bringing down those bad cops.
Kopbusters is a reality show that sets up cops to see if they break the law. Here is a link to the video of them violating the 4th amendment by searching a house growing two christmas trees.
