Binary arithmetic is what computers use to add, mulitply, create web pages, etc.

Instead of 5 + 5 = 10

you get

0101 + 0101 = 1010

Understand? No? Well don't feel too dumb. Here is an article where it was taught to third graders...who DID understand.
